ChatGPT + TripBooster

Plan trips from the browser

Turn ChatGPT into a travel copilot: it lists your trips, summarizes get_daily_summary, and queues import_email only when you approve in TripBooster while you stay in the chat.

Example chat

Give me get_daily_summary for tomorrow's trip and list open tasks. Do not run import_email until I confirm.
I listed your trips, drafted both posts, and ran list_pending_imports—no errors. Ready to schedule for 9:00 AM tomorrow when you confirm.

Scheduled posts land on your TripBooster calendar and import on time.

How to connect ChatGPT

  1. On chatgpt.com (web), enable Developer mode under Settings → Security and login if you use a custom MCP connector.
  2. Open Settings → Connectors → Add connector, paste the TripBooster MCP URL, and save.
  3. When ChatGPT connects, complete TripBooster sign-in and approve workspace access in the browser.
  4. In a new chat, enable the TripBooster connector and ask to list trips before scheduling anything.

OAuth sign-in is recommended. Developer API keys in Settings → Developer work for clients that cannot open the browser consent flow. Confirm with you before sync_gmail_reservations or import_email adds reservations to your vault.

What you can do with ChatGPT

  • Week-ahead calendar

Ask for a content plan across your trips; the agent lists pending imports and waits for you to approve reservations in TripBooster.

  • Launch announcements

Summarize upcoming flights and hotels with different hooks, using get_daily_summary so tone matches your workspace.

  • Draft-only mode

Keep everything in import_email and list_pending_imports until you are ready—no import_email until you say so.

  • Performance check-ins

Pull get_daily_summary and list_imported_content to summarize what worked last week before planning the next.

TripBooster MCP tools

Agents read trips, reservations, wishes, alerts, and tasks. Mutating tools are limited to sync_gmail_reservations, import_email, and reviewing list_pending_imports before you approve imports in the app.

Example prompts

  • List my trips and summarize open tasks for the Rome trip.
  • Review new content proposals in my workspace and summarize which ones fit our launch theme.

Agents should call list_pending_imports and show parsed reservations before you approve them in TripBooster. Only run Gmail sync or email import when you explicitly ask.

Frequently asked questions

Is TripBooster preinstalled in ChatGPT or Claude?
No. You add TripBooster as a custom MCP connector (or use OAuth from a client that supports remote MCP). Sign in with your TripBooster account when the client opens the consent flow.
Will the agent import email without asking me?
TripBooster expects a human in the loop. Agents should use list_pending_imports and show parsed reservations before you approve them in the app. Only run sync_gmail_reservations or import_email when you explicitly want new bookings added.
Can agents upload passport scans through MCP?
Not through TripBooster MCP today. Agents can read trips, reservations, alerts, and tasks, and submit email text via import_email for parsing. Document uploads stay in the TripBooster app or vault UI.
What data can agents see?
Only trips, reservations, wishes, alerts, and tasks in your TripBooster account—scoped to OAuth or API key permissions. Agents do not receive your Gmail password; Gmail sync uses connections you enable in Settings → Import.
